[closed] Can't start using Rack Performer (RP 0.96-alpha3)

I've just downloaded the alpha version today but I can't use it.
2 windows pop up upon launching the program and one of the windows' status is "Checking for Updates" and the other is the main window. Though the status bar appears Ready but I can't use it and the menu is disable...
:(

If the problem is related to the automatic network update, you could try to temporarily disconnect from the network before launching the application.
Alternatively if you are "tech savvy" enough, you could try to edit RP configuration file (read this post) and find this particular line and set it to "0" (zero)
